Pipeliner Model Surfboard

$2,200.00

The Pipeliner is considered the performance peak of the longboard era. Dick developed it in Hawaii on the eve of the short board revolution. He joined Bing, in the summer of 1967. Bing Copeland’s marketing and board building skills delivered the Dick Brewer Pipeliner to a Surfers beyond Hawaii.

Dick considered the Pipeliner a “Semi-Gun” or a “Hot Dog” board for surfing Hawaii’s manageable big days. It was his early efforts to design a board to fit the face of Pipeline like no other board of the era. The pintail delivered stylish and graceful lines making it both functional and eloquent.

Dick’s “Go to” dimensions are 9’3.5” x 23” x 3.125” and it is available from 9’0’- 10’0”. The boards center stringer is 1/8” Dark wood, with two 7” offset T-Bands. The T-Bands are 1/16” dark wood stringers that straddles 3/8” High Density Red Foam. The 6 oz. Volan glass with a hint of green, finished with a proper gloss and polish finish.

This Pipeliner could hang on your wall but screams to be ridden…so we broke tradition and added a glass leash loop and a fin box (but no side bites). Sales Tax, Shipping, and Packaging are not included and will be quoted based on the final destination.
